The Victorian Marriage Registry (provided by the Victorian Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages) offers elegant, memorable and affordable ceremonies at Melbourne’s Old Treasury Building. The Registry conducts civil ceremonies, ensures legal requirements are met, and prepares vows and declarations for stating on your wedding day.
All ceremonies take place at the heritage-listed Old Treasury Building in the heart of Melbourne, next door to the Treasury Gardens – an ideal location for photographs. It is also close to city restaurants, bars and hotels for celebrations after your ceremony.
There are two ceremony rooms to choose from. Both are beautifully furnished with period-styled furniture and decorated with flowers and artwork.
Our team of celebrants provide a professional, inclusive and warm ceremony. We offer the choice of two flexible services, with options for personalising:
- standard marriage service, a traditional ceremony with the option of a reading or poem
- alternative marriage service, a simple ceremony without readings.
